We’re used to Morgan Wallen dominating the charts and selling tons of records, so I’m not surprised he’s making history on the concert circuit.
Both of his shows last Thursday and Friday at Chicago’s Wrigley Field were sell-outs. He’s now the first country artist to sell out back-to-back nights at that stadium. Morgan’s recent vocal issues didn’t hold him back at Wrigley.
Bailey Zimmerman, Ernest, and Hardy were the openers, but Morgan owned the night. He performed for two hours, give or take. He even brought out Chicago native Lil Durk for their duet, “Stand By Me”. (Music Row, Billboard)
There was a charitable moment backstage when Morgan donated $100,000 to the Chicago Park District. The funds will help revitalize a local baseball field. He said, quote, “The mission with our foundation is to support youth programs in sports and music.” (American Songwriter)
