If you could create your own ULTIMATE country music festival line-up and pick any eight artists, who’d make the cut? Someone posed the question online and did it as a two-day concert series. All the artists he picked are living. Other than that, there were no rules.
Assume ticket prices aren’t an issue . . . everyone’s willing to take part, with no scheduling conflicts . . . and the event has an unlimited budget. Obviously, it’s subjective, but here’s the line-up he came up with . . .
Day One: Chris Janson opens, followed by Jake Owen . . . Trisha Yearwood . . . and Kenny Chesney closes out the night.
Day Two: Cody Johnson . . . Lee Brice . . . Brooks & Dunn . . . and the headliner is Dolly Parton.
(There’s only room for eight, but SO many names could make the list: Zach Bryan, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, Cody Johnson, Taylor Swift, Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood . . .)
(Kane Brown, Walker Hayes, Maren Morris, Luke Bryan, Reba McEntire, Lady A, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Shania Twain, Garth Brooks, George Strait, a thousand others . . . and how do you not pick 89-year-old Willie Nelson?)
