The Zac Brown Band canceled their show in Vancouver, Canada on Friday after some crew members were denied entry at the border. It was NOT because of Covid.
Zac released a statement saying some crew members had charges on their records from over a decade ago, and even though they “have since been removed” they weren’t allowed in. So, he pulled the plug on the show.
Quote, “We’re a family. We stick together and support each other, and never leave anyone behind. As a band who prides themselves on showing up with excitement and professionalism, we will always play where we are welcome.”
The weird part is that the band has been performing regularly in Canada, including twice THIS year.
Quote, “Each time we’ve come to Canada, we have been at the mercy of a single border agent who decides who is allowed in to work, and unfortunately, not everyone was able to make it in the country [this time.]” (People)
