The 2022 CMA Award nominees were announced Wednesday morning (Sept. 7th) and this year was not only a huge milestone for Lainey Wilson because it’s her first year being nominated, but Lainey also made out like a bandit with six nods in six different categories!
Lainey landed categories for Female Vocalist of the Year, New Artist of the Year, Album of the Year for her song Sayin’ What I’m Thinkin’, Musical Event of the Year for “Never Say Never” with Cole Swindell, Song of the Year for “Things a Man Oughta Know”, and Video of the Year for “Never Say Never.”
Lainey tweeted, “6 NOMINATIONS!?!? I’m speechless. While I try to find the words just know that I’m blown away and so so honored and proud to be nominated. Thank you to the entire country music community!”
Speechless and honored, Lainey Wilson announced today that she will be joining Luke Combes for the “Middle of Somewhere Tour” in a few months!
