When JUSTIN MOORE sings about “Small Town USA” or “Small Town Street Cred” . . . you know he means it. He lives in Poyen, Arkansas, which is the town he grew up in. But that didn’t stop “People” from putting him to the test.
They asked some “The last time I [blank]” questions and he nailed it. Here are a few:
The last time I drove a tractor: “The day before I left. I was on it for about four days straight, bush-hogging my whole property, which is a good 50, 60 acres.”
The last time I took a back road: “Yesterday. We take one to get to our house.”
The last time I sipped whiskey: “Last night.”
The last time I ate grits: “Probably a week ago.”
The last time I skinned a buck? “Deer season this past year.”
The last time I got on a four-wheeler? “Every day I’m home . . . going and checking deer feeders and that kind of stuff.”
The last time I sat on my porch? “I’m actually on it right now.”
He closed it off by saying, quote, “What’s funny about this is it’s probably gonna read like I’m making all this up, but I promise you, I’m not.”
