One of the most amazing things about GARTH BROOKS is how real he is . . . considering how famous he is. He was asked what he hopes his legacy will be, and he didn’t say winning awards, meeting presidents, or selling billions of records.
He wants to be known as someone who always appreciated and respected his fans. Quote, “I hope that the people who traveled all those miles, sat in the freezing cold at Notre Dame, I hope the people that put in all the years know how grateful I was that they did it.”
He brought up his mom giving up her singing career to raise a family and said he was proud to fulfill her journey.
Then he added, quote, “[So] the opportunity that you put in front of me and my family. I hope that people know how grateful we are to get to do the coolest gig on the planet . . . next to being my daughters’ dad and being Mr. Yearwood, this is the coolest gig on the planet.”
